NY State Police hiding behind toll booths
I have been seeing NY State Police hiding behind toll booths, ambushing people who have just gotten a toll ticket to pay - I assume they are looking for seat belt/registration/talking on cell phone type infractions.
If they have this kind of excess manpower, and they need to boost their ticket count to prove their need to NY, then its time to cut back - NY State is in trouble now - not only from a financial standpoint, but there is a mass exodus of good people who either can't afford to live here anymore due to the taxes and high cost of living or no job prospects. Petty bullshit like this will only make the situation worse, adding to the frustration of trying to survive in a state with a broken government. Gov. Paterson - why don't you just pave a golden highway right out of New York. Make it easy on the rest of us that haven't left. Yet. |

I agree - when I saw them at the toll booth, I thought they were trying to catch some big criminal....but to do that crap to people waiting to pay tolls? Crying out loud, reduce your force if you have that much extra manpower! |

RE: NY State Police hiding behind toll booths
Wow, thats crazy - things must be as bad in NY as they are in California - I'd start writing letters about that, if you let them get away with that, whats next?
Sneak into your bedroom at night for snore control? |

I see that state trooper every day on my way home from work. It is almost embarrassing.. he pulls 2-3 cars over at a time. Someone should take a video of this and post it online. Our tax dollars at work..
