This is all true: A $100,000 house in Buffalo pays $4,000 in taxes to NYS. A $100,000 house in Westchester pays $1,700 in taxes to NYS. A $100,000 house in Suffolk pays $465 in taxes to NYS. Attn Albany: we in upstate NY are tired of being your red-headed stepchild. FIX THIS!

As if the incredibly unfair high tax burden wasn't enough, Western NY pays the highest utility costs in the nation - in spite of being rich in natural hydro energy.

Too many out there doing little public good - time to cut back, we don't need more marginal traffic tickets written on the thruway. It is costing NY taxpayers $300,000 per yr/per cruiser on the road. Cut this redundant and unnecessary force back!!!!

It is getting increasingly prevalent in NY State, in particular the corridor between Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse to see traffic speed traps designed to increase the revenue to local municipalities and offset the current NY State budget deficits.
